One in a Billion

The world today feels so aghast

The time we shared went by so fast

With silly nonsense and master plans

Seemed like our journey had just begun

From laughing until out of air

To discussing key world affairs

You taught me to love being a mess

And to judge myself a lot less

Humanity through your eyes

Was just fear in disguise

In a journey to find a soul

Or a few that would be kind

The news that you are no longer here

Has hit me worse than it appears

God has borrowed your light

To help brighten up the sky

I can’t help but to cry

Though this isn’t goodbye

I will see you again

When I leave this plain
