A voyage leading to unexpected places
is what I set out to find
I believed my heading was clear
until your path crossed mine

Resting in my glacial palace
feeling proud of the battles I won
I didn’t suspect you to be
a great adventure that would blow my mind

There is something about you
that I can’t expound
it broke through my fortress
and has laid my shields down
***
It may be your sweet eyes
perhaps it’s your kind smile
it could be our hearty laughs
or the way I feel when we hug
***
What I know is that
when all noises quiet down
I find myself dreaming of you,
dreaming of us and of what will come
